An organization of my own...

This weekend I was invited to fund raise for a new, non-profit organization. A representative came to my school and informed me, and the members of a club I belong to about it. This representative claimed to be the Martin Luther King of the Gay Rights movement. He told us that this new organization was going to make a big difference in the world, and that we could be a part of it. This was perfect, just what I have been wanting to do.
Sadly, when I got there I found out that he was mistaken. The organization was not what I thought it was at all. (However it is still a fantastic organization.) The mission of the group is actually to sponsor local artists. How he got the two confused I will never know.
Happily, I am a firm believer in the fact that everything happens for a reason. My experience this weekend has lead me to the realization that I can  start my OWN organization. Mine will be an organization that campaigns for equal rights for everyone, environmentalism, vegetarianism, peace, and all things good. We will do it for no other reason than the fact that it is simply the right thing to do. We will do it with pride, respect, and enthusiasm.
When I am finished with the world, people will use public transport, abandon the meat industry, plant trees, smile at strangers, and recycle- among other things.
On a side note, while fundraising, outside a local Walmart, it was implied that the anti-christ is a personal friend of mine. A woman rolled up in her car holding out a million dollar bill. It was fake of course. Before driving away, she made a comment about how the anti-christ would be pleased I was doing his bidding, or something along those lines. On the back of this "million dollar bill" were all the reasons me and my friends are going to hell.
At first I was amused, but after some careful though, I became very saddened. It depresses me that I have to share the planet with such closed-minded, prejudice, vicious human beings. She didn't even stop to talk to us, she just passed by, looked at us, and decided that we should be condemned. Apparently, we don’t even deserve a chance to defend ourselves and ask why because she drove away while she was still talking, allowing me no retort. I still haven’t figured out what about us exactly gave us away as “anti-christ associates” with just a quick passing by. Some of the people I was with even consider themselves to be good Christians.
This solidified my idea to start my own organization. I want to shock people with my unorthodox thinking, and open their eyes to an entire world of beautiful, peaceful, possibilities.
